General English (IEP)
Intensive English Program, 25 lessons/ week
Students require an F1 Student Visa (recommended for studying 3 or more months) Link: Student Visa Information Website
Study Monday through Friday, 25 lessons a week.
Students have Core and Skills classes Tuesday-Friday, 8:50am-1:05pm:
- 8:50-10:20am: Core Class - A multi-skills communication class that offers practice in a full range of English skills including Conversation, Listening, Reading, Writing, Presentation Skills, Grammar, Pronunciation, and more.
- 10:35am-11:45am: Skill Class - Grammar: an interactive grammar class using the highly recognized Azar Grammar Book series to help build, or refine grammar skills.
- 12pm-1:05pm: Skill Class - Listening/Speaking: a class focused on creating group, pair, and individual speaking opportunities, as well as listening exercises.
- 12pm-1:05pm: Elective Classes (Instead of Listening/Speaking):
- Academic English: This class teaches the reading and writing skills necessary for successful American university studies. Students should be in levels 400-600. Students in 400 must be approved.
- Business Communication: A popular topics-based course focusing on business terms and functions, essential grammar, and real-life case studies. Students gain pratice in the key skills of business reading, speaking, listening and writing. Students should be in levels 500-600.
Students also have Monday Elective Classes 8:50am-1:05pm. Courses offered include TOEIC, Reading & Vocabulary, Idioms, Pronunciation, and Conversation. Click here for more information: Monday Elective classes.
As part of a special promotion, students in IIE's 25+ lessons programs also receive one free optional week of English Cafe for every 4 weeks of attendance.

Advanced (600 level).
