IIE/YMCA English Summer Camp
English Discovery Camp
IIE Hawaii is a world leader in delivering high-quality, exciting programs for juniors from ages 6 to 17. Our English programs for kids and teens are the biggest and most wide-ranging in Hawaii, with over 200 happy students every year. Our English-only policy at the school ensures that students gain confidence in English communication skills. It's real English, real fun!
Kid-STEP (6-12 years) & Teen-STEP (13-17 years)
We offer exciting English plus Activity programs for children between the ages of 6-12 years old in the Kid Short Term English Program (K-STEP), and young adults between the ages of 13-17 years old in the Teen Short Term English Program (T-STEP). Students have three hours of high-quality lessons at our school, and different fun activities and trips around Hawaii every school day. Students may join from one week to six weeks. Snacks are included, but students must bring their own lunch.
In 2010, K-STEP and T-STEP programs are scheduled for 6 weeks in the summer (July 12-August 20). Our Summer
K-STEP and T-STEP classes and activities run 9am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Our summer programs are very, very popular, and always fill up very early for the peak weeks. Early registration is highly recommended!
Homestay may be available for T-STEP students studying on their own without their families.

IIE/YMCA English Summer Camp (8-15 years) 
We are proud to be offering our English
Summer Camp again this summer in cooperation with YMCA Camp Erdman on the North Shore of Oahu in Waialua.
In this overnight English immersion camp, students have three hours of IIE English lessons each morning Monday to Friday, followed by various sports and activities with local kids the rest of the day and night. They include swimming, hiking, soccer, archery, climbing wall, outdoor survival, camp fire, arts and crafts, and personal development. All meals and accommodation included.
Each session is Sunday-Friday. Students can register from one to four sessions from July 18-August 13, 2010. Weekend stayover (Fri-Sun) is available for students registered in two or more sessions. Transportation from the Honolulu airport (or YMCA-Nuuanu Branch) to IIE/YMCA English Summer Camp is available. Contact IIE for info or application.

English Discovery Camp (4-6 years)
Our newest kids program is an exciting partnership with the world-class learning facility, Hawaii Children's Discovery Center. Designed for kids 4-6 years old, this unique program brings together the Discovery Center's imaginative, educational themes with IIE's high-quality kids English program taught by IIE teachers.
Kids will learn about the magical world they live in through exciting weekly themes. All activities and learning is in English, including a daily English lesson segment.
English Discovery Camp runs Monday-Friday, from July 19-Aug. 20, 2010. Camp times are 9am-2pm at the Children's Discovery Center. Students can register from one to five weeks. Lunch and transportation provided from IIE to the Children's Discovery Center. (Pick-up 8:30am at IIE. Drop-off 2:20pm at IIE.) Parents will receive a brief tour of the Discovery Center on the first day, and a one-day adult pass.

English Classes for Parents
Parents who also want to study English at IIE can join our STEP course or the Summer STEP. The Summer STEP course is a beginner level course designed for parents who have children studying in IIE's summer programs.
