TOEFL Preparation

16 hours or 20 hours / week

IIE Hawaii's proven TOEFL program fully prepares students to take the TOEFL exam in any form, IBT, CBT or paper. Our students receive total support from our experienced TOEFL teachers until exam day and beyond.

Students in IIE's TOEFL program study in the TOEFL course from Tuesday to Friday 9am-12pm, followed by Academic Reading & Writing 12pm-1pm, for a comprehensive preparation for the TOEFL test and college.

On Monday, F-1 (20 Hour) students can take TOEFL practice tests or choose other Monday Elective classes. Students in the 16 Hour TOEFL program have the option of taking unsupervised TOEFL practice tests on Monday. An F-1 Student Visa is not required for the 16 Hour program.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score is used by many universities in the United States and Canada as an entry requirement for degree programs. Some corporations also use the TOEFL to determine the English proficiency level of their employees. 

Students should be at least intermediate level and place into level 400+, or have a TOEFL score of 450.
